Risk Disclosure

Last updated 27 September 2026

Trading crypto assets is risky, and automating it does not make it safe. Read this before you let a bot trade real money. Only trade with money you can afford to lose.

You can lose money

Crypto prices can move sharply, quickly and without warning, around the clock. You can lose some or all of the money you trade. Past performance, including your own bots', does not predict future results.

How strategies can lose

When things fail

Exchanges have outages, maintenance, trading halts and delistings. Networks, the service itself or its hosting can fail. A bot may miss trades, trade late, or behave differently than expected after a restart. Software can contain errors despite testing. The kill switch, trading lock and risk limits reduce, but do not remove, these risks.

Simulations are not results

Paper trading, replays and backtests use past or current prices without the real order book. Real fills, fees and timing differ, and a strategy that did well in the past may do badly next.

AI can be wrong

AI reviews, grades, suggested settings, suggested strategies and plans are generated automatically and can be wrong, out of date or unsuited to you, whatever goal you choose. A suggestion passing the strategy's checks only means a bot can run with it, not that it will make money. Think before you apply one, especially to a live bot.

Your keys and your account

Anyone with your exchange keys can trade your account. Create keys without withdrawal permission, keep your exchange account secure, and revoke keys you no longer use.

Law and tax

Rules on crypto and automated trading differ by country and change over time. You are responsible for trading lawfully where you live and for your own taxes on any gains.

No advice

AutoTradIQ does not know your finances, goals or tolerance for risk, and nothing it shows is financial advice. If you are unsure, speak to a qualified, independent adviser.
